As a Cost Engineer – working for an international market leader in technical services – you make budgets for sustainable projects and modifications. Through innovative and sustainable solutions, you help your clients by contributing to a CO2-neutral future.

It is your task to budget projects and modifications. You work out calculations and budgets for both existing and new projects. These projects can be rather small, but also quite large where amounts of up to 1 million euros are budgeted.

In general, you work in the office but now and then, you visit a customer to get a clear idea of what they want to realize/optimize. ‘Flex working’ (working from home and the office) is negotiable in your position.

Job requirements

You know about the legal- and financial frameworks in the industry.
You can make budgets for electrical projects and modifications.
You do this by analyzing design/specification calculations and asking questions.
You advise organizations regarding calculation strategies.
You will maintain business contacts with suppliers and customers.
You will request services and/or supplies from third parties.
You make risk analyses, qualifications, and quantifications of risks and opportunities.
You will optimize budgets and executions.

Cost Engineer Elektrotechniek

Als cost engineer elektrotechniek voor een internationale marktleider in technische dienstverlening maak jij begrotingen van duurzame projecten en modificaties. Door middel van innovatieve technische, digitale en duurzame oplossingen help jij je opdrachtgevers binnen de utiliteit, industrie en overheid en leveren jullie een bijdrage aan een CO2-neutrale toekomst.

Het is jouw taak om projecten en modificaties te begroten waarbij er een goede basis wordt gelegd voor het realiseren van projecten en modificaties binnen de gestelde financiële doelstellingen.

Je werkt calculaties en begrotingen uit voor zowel bestaande als nieuwbouwprojecten. Dit kunnen kleinschalige projecten zijn en grotere trajecten waarbij bedragen tot 1 miljoen euro worden begroot. Over het algemeen werk je op kantoor maar zo nu en dan bezoek je de klant om een goed beeld te krijgen van wat zij wensen te realiseren/optimaliseren. Flexwerken – zowel vanuit huis als op kantoor werken – is ook bespreekbaar in jouw functie.

Functie-eisen

Je kunt begrotingen van elektrotechnische projecten en modificaties maken.
Dit doe je op basis van vragen stellen en het analyseren van ontwerp/bestekcalculaties.
Je hebt kennis van de wettelijke financiële kaders in de branche.
Je kunt organisaties adviseren m.b.t. de te volgen calculatiestrategie.
Je zult zakelijke contacten met leveranciers en klanten onderhouden.
Je zult diensten en leveringen bij derden aanvragen.
Je maakt risicoanalyses, kwalificeringen en kwantificering van risico’s en kansen.
Je zult begrotingen en uitvoeringen optimaliseren.
Je ontwikkelt kengetallen voor begrotingen.
